Experienced stone carver working in a range of stone including local serpentine. Carvings of birds and animals, figures and heads. The work is inspired from primitive art and cultures. Other materials, such as found metal or wood are also used as are old boxes engraved and inked with cave art style imagery.
I take the inspiration for photographs from England's beautiful countryside. Since moving to West Cornwall, where the air is so clear, I also find inspiration in the amazing quality of the light, forever changing, enhancing colours and shapes. All my images are digital, never taken with flash and never edited in any way, save for the occasional straightening of a horizon, as I want them to have a feeling on naturalness and spontaneity.

Stephanie's work is inspired by the natural world particularly by animal forms. She has always had animals around her and the connection she has with them and respect she affords them is the essence of her work. With many years of observation she expresses through clay and stylised forms their power, elegance and grace. She conveys a familiar holding of the body or movement of the head, perhaps a comical gesture or a deep sense of peace in a resting form.
My paintings are mathematically influenced abstracts, for which the original inspiration often comes from the dramatic natural forms that abound in West Cornwall.

Louise graduated from Falmouth College of Art in 2000. A year later she joined Gaolyard Studios in St Ives where she has been developing her skills ever since. Her work is influenced by Japanese ceramics, abstract paintings and landscape. Fired to Stoneware temperatures her forms vary from simple jugs, vases and bowls using minimal decoration to individual forms as a ceramic canvas. This exploration is her continued passion.

I love taking photographs! I am drawn to capturing unusual shapes and patterns, and spending time in the garden or on the coast capturing images of flowers and seascapes.
In 2014 I achieved my Licentiateship with the Royal Photographic Society and I am working towards my Associateship. I am a member of a local camera club and of a regional branch of the RPS, and enjoy seeing other photographers work and having critiques of my own work.
Words, memories, materials are the beginning of my work. The association of language and ideas, making a poetic visual link between places and events from the past. I use materials that suggest a certain way of working, experimentation and resolution.
A painter working in Penwith, I work both outside, mainly on the coast, and on still-life subjects and image-sourced material in my studio near Lamorna. I’m interested in the process of illusional representation through painting as well as the more abstract and visceral potential of oil paint and materials to affect our senses through dynamics in colour, tone and composition etc.
Sculptor/ painter: I make semi-abstract, often figurative work, all with a strong organic feel. Inspirations include The Dance and stillness, curves and lines in nature, music, the elements and spirit. As I work in more varied media, so an ever more present to-and-fro tension between stillness and movement grows and begins to create a web.
Paintings in acrylics and watercolour on canvas and board. Mainly figurative landscapes and still life works ranging from realism to abstract. Inspired by the natural landscape and flora and fauna of West Cornwall.
Paintings, drawings and prints in mixed media. Landscape paintings, many of which are inspired by Cornwall's industrial heritage supplemented by paintings inspired by music, dance and flight.
